So finding a praise daily wasn’t necessarily difficult, as much as it made me realize how much I wasn’t looking for the praises in life as intentionally as I was during this challenge. I feel we tend to easily find what’s wrong, what could be better, or what could be instead of looking for the countless number of praises that God blesses us with literally by the minute let alone daily.

God definitely taught me to focus more on His promises than my problems. And sometimes just finding a simple praise can really bring forth His promises to the front and center of your life.

I’m sure people were impacted in some way or another but I actually found out I was made fun of for doing a daily praise challenge and that the praises I was posting about weren’t “big enough.” They said my praises were just small posts to gain attention and likes on Instagram. This initially bothered me but then God spoke clearly through my wife to me and said “be thankful for the opportunities to see Me in the small. In the seemingly insignificant aspects of life just as much as in the big miraculous blessings. I’m everywhere and always working, even in the small.”

If we only saw God in the big things, then we would be no different than the crowds of people following Jesus soley because they saw Him do miracles. My hope is that the people who made fun of me will one day see that and understand that.
